French Blended Whisky - Bastille 1789
Discover the first Blended Whisky from the French Spirits Valley, made by Maison Daucourt's distilling experts.
This Bastille 1789 Whisky is very exotic and fruity ! This Blended is made from grain distillates aged between 3 and 8 years old.
It has completed its aging in Cognac and Sauternes barrels. Whisky lovers, please note : you must taste this "peat of the Charentes" at least once .
The dress is a shiny orange amber.
On the nose, it offers tasty notes of wood, punctuated by hints of honey.
In the mouth, the peaty aspect is a frank success. Round, almost creamy, it is an infinite pleasure. Various notes dance in harmony : orange marmalade, dried apricot, gingerbread .... Then we go through more candied orange touches, peppery spices, and finally more mineral notes - in which we find the famous limestone sources of Charente, where is produced this French Blended Whisky.
The fire is absent, and we enjoy long woody notes of this excellent Whisky. The final plays surprise card. Indeed, it is slightly spicy. This, in order, to captivate the throat and the palate.
This Whisky from Maison Daucourt, without any fire, can be tasted directly without ice ! In addition, thanks to its very greedy and fruity side, it can also be prepared in cocktail : preferably associated with citrus fruits and a tip of Angostura Bitters.
