In tasting:

The nose is long, and very pleasant. Indeed, it brings notes of leather and Rancio, proofs of a high-range eau-de-vie.
In the mouth, this Bastille Single Malt shows woody notes. It is also drier and less peaty than its little brother, the Blended Bastille.

There are intriguing aromas of dried fruit, sweet spices, and a strong "leather" appearance, which testifies to its quality.
But what will surprise you the most in this Whisky is its finish : long, peppery, with notes of plums and candied fruit. There are even surprising notes of Cognac !
