Cognac Ragnaud Sabourin N°35 "Fontvieille"

5 1
5/ 5

A real tribute to the domain founder Gaston Briand. Indeed this Cognac N ° 35 Fontvieille elaborated by the Ragnaud Sabourin House is named after the oldest parcel of the field.

The alchemy of blending also follows the will of the first cellar master : a perfect marriage between Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and Colombard, which brings to this drink a wonderful balance.

• In tasting:

Beautiful mahogany dress of Cuba, and perfumed nose of liquorice and linden. The nose is toasty, with notes of almonds.

On the palate, this Fontvieille Cognac is nicely balanced. The attack in the mouth is soft, like pastry. Warm, mature flavors of brown honey and orange zest come next. The we find powerful spices, marked by the barrel.

This Cognac is marked by a remarkable Charentais Rancio. The finish is robust, with spices and pepper.
