Cognac Paul Giraud "Very Rare"

5 1
5/ 5

An amazing Cognac offered by the Paul Girud House. This "Très Rare" has remained 40 years in oak barrels, to offer this eau-de-vie Premier Cru Grande Champagne.

Manly and spicy aromas, as well as a magnificent complexity when tasting. A confidential Cognac, “a name whispered only among hedonists”  - cf. The French Wine Review (RVF), April 2009

• Tasting:

This Cognac offers very masculine aromas : cigar box, tobacco, leather ... Then come spicy notes such as pepper and clove. Flavors of white fruit and dried fruit open the door first, followed by woody and oxidized notes. In the end you will also find a fabulous Rancio.

The notes are melted and long in the mouth. The attack is round, then the mouth is more voluptuous and carnal, but still elegant. The finale goes back on the spices. This ‘Very Rare’ by Paul Giraud has a tremendous complexity on the nose and palate.

• Our advices:

This Cognac will please at any occasion. But it will reach its peak at a party with friends, accompanied by a Havana cigar.

• Ideal service temperature :

16 to 17 ° C
