However, the cellars of Maison J. Dupont are today managed by the Boinaud family. In these same cellars, we find high-end Cognacs, distilled in the strictest confidence. This is the case with this excellent Vintage 89. This 89th edition is strictly limited to 90 bottles.
While Cognac is usually the result of a blend of different spirits, the vintage comes from a single barrel sealed once the eau-de-vie has been poured into it. This is to "let the magic of aging take place".
In tasting: the nose is full of fruit flavors, and elegant spices. It shows exceptional maturity. In the mouth, the texture is perfectly balanced. Sweet notes of spice dance in perfect harmony. The finish is full of surprises: firstly because of its length, but above all by its reverberation.
