Cognac Jean Fillioux 1994 Grande Champagne
Harvested and distilled in 1994, this Cognac has been aged in French oak barrels, in a wet cellar.
In this 1994 Jean Fillioux Cognac, the nose is a singular experience. Its initial bouquet is powerful and long. And its subtle aromas move very subtly on the palate. Once again the Jean Fillioux House offers us a magnificent tasting Cognac.
"This vintage Cognac shows exceptional qualities for such a price - a great addition to any cognac chest"
The robe is golden, with dark and mysterious copper highlights. But the great asset of this Cognac is its bouquet!
Indeed, the nose is both sweet and woody, with touches of fruit and peppery spice. First with touches of linden honey and old Sauternes, the bouquet offers touches of ripe fruits, pear, and notes of old roses. We also advise you to air a little this Vintage 1994 Jean Fillioux, to give time for its bouquet to take all its power.
On the palate, this Cognac is gourmet and round, with caramelized and candied notes : apple pie, figs, dried fruits and pear. The second breath then goes on honey and pepper. The finish is very satisfying, long, with hints of honey, liquorice, pepper and slightly minty - accompanied by some notes of cigar box.
Will make an ideal digestive drink. May be served on the rocks for a slightly different trip.
